How does one get into the animation field?
I want to be able to create my own cartoons eventually. I love the unique worlds such as Cowboy Bebop, or Aeon Flux… and I want to know how to get a job like that.

I graduated from art college several years ago. AAC in the bayarea. If you don’t know anyone who’s in animation field, you can try to present your idea and art work to the teachers in art school. Most of teachers in my school are not professional educator but professional artist. Such as most teachers who is teaching animation may from the big film company. Some of them fly from LA to give us class everyweek.
I thought you may start from their if you go some good stuff. But if you really got some great stuff, be careful with who you deal with. We had sign the contract that all our works belong to school when we were. I have known there some teachers keep student’s idea become their own…

Would I like Final Fantasy 13?
I’ve played barely any Final Fantasy games (only a gameboy one and two ds ones) and didn’t really like them, however, I loved Spirits Within and Advent Children (even though I didn’t understand any of it) but they were films and I would really like to get into the games. Exotic Car Rentals in Europe for a 18 Year old?
I know in the US that you must be at least 25 to rent an exotic car. But this summer before college, my dream is to fly to london, rent out a Lambo or Ferrari and tour the continent to the boot of italy (at least 2 weeks). My family has nice cars in the united states (new york city). I could ship a Maserati Gran Turismo, an S550 4Matic, or a Corvette Z06 to europe. I want to have a great time in europe and must do so in a nice car with a friend. Would It be cheaper to just ship one?? Im not sure if Id need a different ID? Please inform me! Thanks.

lol wont be cheap to ship .your looking at about 6 weeks for economy price,and 4,000$ (round trip)plus insurance ,just do what everyone elts does, rent your dream car for a day or two then you in europe you can rent a nice modest high end BMW or Audi for what you pay for a mustang in the usa and still have a thrill .exotic rentals not that cheap by time your done probaby get ya for 1,000$ plus gas ,gas is also tripple what you pay at home rember that also.also depending on where you are most speed limits top out at 140kms so is it worth it ? ….my advice is ,its a nice dream but at young age you can get into some serious trouble with a fast with a car like that. hurt or kill some one in an accident overseas you might as well kiss your life good bye.legal fees alone will drain you for many many years.

How was the maverick thing ever supposed to work?
McCain got his maverick image for going against the Republican base: on campaign finance reform, against the Bush tax cut, for immigration reform, against the "nuclear option" to ram through conservative judges…

Now here he comes abandoning his choice for VP, Joe Lieberman, instead caving to the base on Sarah Palin, and calling it "a team of mavericks." How was that supposed to work? Are independents supposed to believe, against the evidence, that he is still a maverick? Is the base hoping he will dis them to renew his maverick credentials? I don’t get it.

1)One definition for a maverick is a wild horse— a horse has a brain the size of a walnut.

2)Sarah Palin. She had to bring it up, brag about it while debating Biden.. that moment, when Biden told Palin that McCain was no maverick brought me back to the moment when Sen. Loyd Bentsen told Quayle that Quayle was no John Kennedy.

in my opinion, i think both are amazing actors but denzel washington is my favorite actor of all time. i love how versatile john travolta is tho, he went from Grease to Swordfish to Wild Hogs to Ladder 49 to Hairspray to Taking of Pelham 123 and he did amazing in all movies!

I have always loved Denzel Washington and all his movies. I got an email a while back from a friend about him visiting a military base in the midwest (I think) that had a large hospital for service men who were injured while on duty. There was also housing on base for their families to say to be near them. While Madona and Brangelina are adopting (buying) kids from 3 world countries, Denzel asked how much it cost to build one the the buildings used to house families of injured servicemen, and whipped out his check book and wrote a check for that amount.

You are right about John Travolta, which is why I pick him. Denzel seems to play the same character over and over only it’s in a different movie. Don’t get me wrong, I love his characters, they are all excellent.

John Travolta has been around for a very long time and as you said, from Grease to Sword Fish… to Pulp Fiction, to .. being bad guys in movies and also being a good guy. Versatile actors are the best (like Johnny Depp =) ).

should executive powers be reduced in the states?
Obama can decide to invade england tomorrow and only have to answer to congress after like a month or so. He could even bomb london for kicks and giggle with a thermonuclear bomb and its possible he wouldn’t have any person in his way of that decision.

This started with the nuke…in order to expedite the process in the case of a catastrophe.. This then got carried away with attempts to increased executive powers to set up bases all over the world and was largely to blame for an incredibly overflowing CIA.

There are many good people in the CIA, but there are also a lot of people in the CIA that are crazy shameless slime….they kill for money, such as the cubans during the bay of pigs fiasco…guess what, they were hired.

So, I think this likes sets up the staets…looking forward as I see social unrest in the states in the 21st century for a variety of social engineering issues and lower standars of living throuhg deficits and economic recessions….to end up becoming a militaristic empire.

Should we start now to reduce these powers through congress to disallow the butterfly effect that would allow this to happen.
well, besides the fact that I do think im smarter than 200 years of ‘leaders’ …they were all kind of abunch of dumbasses relative to me (common), i think to really concider the evolution and erratic nature of the political process throughout 200 years as ‘brilliant’ is uh, misguided.

Second I reject your implication taht this has been the status quo..before WWII, the status quo was that states had more..power rather than the federal governemnt…so really who are you to question the wisdom of 150 years of leaders? (that board flips around quickly)..therefore ‘it has been the result of 200 years of leaders’…the constitution under the founding fathers was BRILLIANT and is the result of these 200 years…but politicians diluted it due to political pressure of the times..and through evolutionary measures…
they have basically set up a system that is very different from the way it was …in just say 60 years time.

Therefore, I think I would have to agree with your assessment…who are YOU to question 200 years of brilliance by YOUR leaders and change it in the last 60 years to fit your needs.
